1. Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms and conditions for cancelling your Factarize AI subscription and requesting refunds. We strive to be fair and transparent in our refund process.

2. Subscription Cancellation

2.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Your account settings in the dashboard
  • Contacting us at hello@factarize.com

2.2 Cancellation Timing

When you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. Your subscription will not renew, and you will not be charged again.

2.3 Data Retention After Cancellation

After cancellation:

  • Your account data will be retained for 30 days, during which you can reactivate your subscription
  • After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted
  • You can request immediate deletion of your data by contacting us at hello@factarize.com

3. Refund Eligibility

3.1 Eligible for Refund

You may be eligible for a refund in the following situations:

  • Service unavailability: If the Service is unavailable for an extended period due to issues on our end (not scheduled maintenance)
  • Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly or double-charged
  • New subscribers: If you cancel within 7 days of your first paid subscription and have not extensively used the Service

3.2 Not Eligible for Refund

Refunds are generally not provided for:

  • Change of mind after the 7-day period
  • Unused portions of a subscription period (subscriptions continue until the end of the billing cycle)
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content quality (as results vary based on inputs)
  • Third-party API costs for video generation - these are billed directly by the providers
  • Requests made after the 7-day new subscriber period has elapsed
  • Violation of our Terms of Service resulting in account termination

4. How to Request a Refund

4.1 Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please:

  1. Email us at hello@factarize.com
  2. Include your account email and the reason for your refund request
  3. Provide any relevant documentation (e.g., screenshot of billing error)

4.2 Processing Time

We aim to process refund requests within 5-7 business days. Once approved, refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

4.3 Refund Amount

Approved refunds will be calculated as follows:

  • Full refund: For billing errors or Service unavailability
  • Pro-rata refund: For partial month usage in eligible circumstances
  • Credit: In some cases, we may offer account credit instead of a monetary refund

5. Demo and Evaluation

We offer product demonstrations and consultations to help you evaluate whether Factarize AI is right for your needs. Contact our sales team to schedule a demo before committing to a subscription.

Our 7-day satisfaction period for new subscribers provides additional protection if the Service does not meet your expectations after signing up.

6. Subscription Downgrades

If you downgrade from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan, the change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. The difference in price is not refunded for the current billing period.

7. Service Level Credits

If we fail to meet our Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments (if applicable to your plan), you may be eligible for service credits. These credits will be applied to future billing cycles rather than refunded.

8. Feature Discontinuation

If we discontinue a major feature that was a primary reason for your subscription, we will provide reasonable notice and may offer:

  • Pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your subscription
  • Account credit for future use
  • Downgrade to an appropriate plan at a reduced rate

9. Currency and Payment Method

All refunds will be processed in the same currency and to the same payment method used for the original purchase. We are not responsible for any currency conversion fees or fluctuations that may affect the refund amount.
